As a USA Triathlon Coach, Endurance Coach and Certified Personal Trainer, I am passionate about the personal development of individuals inside and outside of sport. Each of us are on our own unique journey and process of evolving through sport is one through daily effort over time. I place emphasis on an individual's journey of growth than the final outcome as there is far more to gain than a single race result or number. I welcome individuals that are looking to get into triathlon for their first race to those aiming high for National Championships and World Championship racing. I offer a wealth of knowledge through experience, having been apart of triathlon for 10+ years, personal training with an emphasis on sport-specific strength and conditioning for dynamic, multi-plane kinetic movement. I offer a range of racing knowledge, from amateur to elite-level performance, where I have cultivated mindset tools and techniques that help unlock further potential due to the mind-body connection nature of sports. My name is Courtney M. Winterbauer
I am a competitive triathlete ranging from sprint to Ironman distance racing, a USAT Triathlon Level 1 Coach, NFPT Certified Personal Trainer, former Team USA Elite Duathlete, distance runner and proud member of Masters Swimming here at Canada College on top of teaching the Muscular Endurance Training Class.
My approach to personal training is utilizing the whole kinetic chain in ways that maximize muscular engagement through dynamic movement while working on elements of proprioception, stabilization, balance, mobility and flexibility. Strength and conditioning is a critical part to endurance sports as it enhances power, stamina, coordination and ability to properly load muscles for performance. Strength training when part of a triathlon training program when properly integrated addresses weak links, muscular imbalances and even postural weaknesses that has the ability to influence power output, breathing, form and technique. As a personal trainer and coach, I oversee how the fourth discipline, strength training, plays a critical role in leveling up in sport.
I further approach strength training as a major discipline for athletes I train as complimentary to their training, periodization and as an injury mitigation strategy for withstanding day to day training.
Not everyone needs to be a crazy athlete to work with me as the concepts for peak performance and longevity intertwine with everyday individuals looking to improve themselves physically, mentally and in overall wellbeing.

Achievements include multi USA Triathlon Age Group National Championships, Duathlon World Championship Qualifier as an elite, 2X Ironman 70.3 World Championship Finisher, Ironman World Championship Qualifier, 2X Boston Marathon Finisher, Time Standard Qualifier for several Abbott World Marathon Majors (Chicago, NYC, Boston), overall podiums for various running and triathlon races.

Strength training programming-only that is tailored to your needs as an individual, athlete or anyone needing sport-specific exercises to compliment their desired discipline. Includes dynamic warm up, key exercise moves, mobility exercises and stretches. Progressions given as needed.
